Well designed (and tested) worksheets that can be used to scaffold notes and helps students to keep track of where they are e.g. 2.2.1 in Theme 2.  Gives disorganised students a more organised easy to follow structure.  Couple this with folders and a copy of the spec so they can add in dividers.

Theme 2 Retrieval Quiz with questions on business and finance

Retrieval quizzes work because they make students actively remember information from memory. This strengthens learning, improves long-term recall and helps students identify gaps in their knowledge before exams.

Starter: How many ways to increase sales of these products?

Nice open starter discussions - to put on the board while you get set up.  Students can do a low risk verbal answers, big opportunity for some nice positive praise at the start.  Get's students thinking about the topic and engaged from the beginning.

Sales Volume calculation example with product data

Sample calculations that you can do as a class - this is taken from the PPT and works well on a large screen.  You can easily check which students might need more examples.  All calculations are chunked and explained.

Plenary Quiz: Give the formula for: A. Total costs B. Total variable costs C. Sales volume D. Sales revenue E. Total revenue F. Percentage (%) change in total costs or total revenue.

Plenary quiz - goes with the worksheet so students can have some quiet time at the end of the topic to consolidate their learning.  You can check to see what topic needs recovering too.

Sample Exam Questions. Students taking an exam.

Sample questions, with the case study snippet, the answers and the levels.  Forget trawling through years of past papers to find a suitable question, it's all done for you.  Lots of examples for students to practice applying the theory learnt in the lesson. You can easily keep track of what you have set too.

Sample question 1: Calculate Nokia's sales revenues in 2013.
Case study for question 2: Marks and Spencer profile
How to level a 12 mark answer rubric

Remember everything we make has been written by an examiner and teacher with decades of classroom experience and then tested on 1000s of students.   Don't chance it with AI, get content you can trust and that we know achieves great results.
