AQA A Level Business 3.1.3 Marketing Management L Ethics in marketing

AQA A Level Business 3.1.3 Marketing Management  L Ethical issues in marketing (A Level Only)

This lesson includes a PowerPoint and covers the following topics:

• ethical issues in product, promotional and pricing decisions

From the official AQA Scheme of work

Learners understand the range of ethical issues that may arise in marketing decisions. Learners can analyse ethical issues related to product design, promotion and pricing.

Learners can evaluate the impact of ethical and unethical marketing practices on stakeholders and business reputation.

From the official AQA guide to teaching this unit:

Ethical issues should not be confused with legal issues which is a common misconception amongst learners. Ethical issues can be considered both in international and domestic contexts. Learners should consider the impact that ethical issues (if ignored) can have on a business. Ethical issues can impact every business function, but in marketing, it must be focused on the marketing mix (specifically product, promotional and pricing decisions).

About these new resources from Revisionstation

  • Brand new teaching resources for the brand new specification
  • These resources are for the AQA AS and A level Business
  • AS (7137) and A level (7138) Specification
  • For teaching from September 2026 onwards
  • For AS exams in 2027 onwards
  • For A-level exams in 2028 onwards

Why do these resources have letters and numbers?

AQA does not have a system in the specification - so we have assigned letters to each of the subtopics to break them into individual topics.  Otherwise the PowerPoints would be 100s of slides long.   These are available to buy as individual lessons while writing is happening.  As soon as a bundle is complete we will put it for sale.

PLEASE NOTE: These resources are PPT only (no worksheets) so students can make their own notes. Print out the slides 3 per page to give students a copy to annotate.

We hope to have everything ready by September 2026 for first teaching.
